Duncan Stewart

Duncan Stewart is an architect, who pioneered, lectured & specialized in ecological building Design. Duncan is also a film producer TV presenter of over 400 TV programmes screened on RTE1 which include: ‘Eco Eye’ and ‘About the House’ series, through his film company Earth Horizon productions.

Since his student years, and as vice-president of the Union of Students of Ireland, Duncan became a committed environmentalist, where he championed green issues over more than 40 years. Duncan is a founder and patron of EcoEd4All. A patron of Galway National Park City. A director of the Dublin Civic Trust, and an ambassador for Irish Seed Savers.

Duncan was instrumental in conceiving and advocating for environmental issues to be embedded and integrated into Ireland’s school curriculum, which led to the founding of EcoEd4All.

Established in 2018, EcoEd4All is a voluntary group of subject matter experts focused on developing free environmental education course material for Transition Year students. EcoEd4All’s pilot programme has been rolled out in schools around Ireland.

Duncan will deliver a talk to transition year students in Tralee schools.
